MNRE invites expression of interest/proposal for conducting evaluation of Scheme on SWES

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is inviting expression of interest (EOI) from consultants/experts to undertake evaluation of Scheme on Small Wind Energy and Hybrid Systems.

Small wind aerogenerators in hybrid mode with solar panels are useful for off grid renewable energy based electricity generation.   The Ministry has been implementing the programme to promote small wind turbines and wind solar hybrid systems since early 90s. The scheme has been revised from time to time in order to make it more effective.

MNRE notes that objective of the study is to evaluate the performance of the systems installed under the scheme and assesses the suitability of various provisions in the existing scheme and to suggest the changes required, if any.

The ministry conducted a workshop on the SWES at Pune on 1st July, 2016 wherein it received an overwhelming response from the various stakeholders regarding the utility of the small wind energy & hybrid systems & its utility in telecom towers.

Consultants or consulting organizations having an experience of at least 5 years in conducting such assignments and an annual turnover of at least Rs.7 5 . 0 0 lakhs per year during the last three years will be eligible to apply for conducting evaluation of Scheme on SWES. consultants/ consulting firms  can submit Expression of Interest for selection to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Block No. 14, Lodi Road on 17.10.216.

As second step to bidding for the consultancy, Technical bid document that includes Understanding of the TOR, Plan Approach & Methodology, Implementation Schedule and Technical Proposal and Proposed price for the consultancy may be sent in a separate sealed cover to Prabir Kumar Dash, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
