MNRE blacklists 2 firms for participating in malpractices in NTPC solar tenders By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Sat, Aug 13th, 2016 Last month, NTPC informed Ministry of New and Renewable Energy that Emami Power Ltd and Oriental Sales Agencies (India) indulged in malpractices in the tenders for solar power projects by it under Phase-II of National Solar Mission. Taking cognizant of this fact, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy acted and has decided to blacklist Emami Power Ltd. and Oriental Sales Agencies (India) Pvt Ltd. for a period of three years, debarring them from participating in any of MNRE’s schemes. The copy of this order has been submitted to Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and NTPC Ltd. The step taken by MNRE indicates that that government does not allow any malpractices by vendors to ensure quality of supplies.
