Mitsubishi Electric Initiates Semiconductor and Devices Lab Program In Institutes By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Jun 23rd, 2022 Japanese conglomerate Mitsubishi Electric is a pioneer of Semiconductor technology. In India, the firm has a CSR Strategy in line with the Government of India initiatives and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The CSR initiatives adopted by the company can broadly be categorized as Skill Development, Community Development and Climate Action. With semiconductors in sharp focus for the government of India as well as industry, with a vision to explain the simple application and function of semiconductors, Mitsubishi Electric Semiconductors & Devices department has started a program to start semiconductors and devices lab project across India. In the first phase, the company prepared educational tools and equipment which has been supplied to two technical institutions; Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies located in Faridabad and PSG College of Technology located in Coimbatore. The educational material prepared by semiconductors & devices department includes IGBT Module, IGBT Stack, DIPIPMs, DIPIPM Evaluation PCBA with controller, IGBT Gate Drivers, UPS, etc. which have been supplied at the labs of both the colleges. Under the program, regular training sessions will also be organized by Mitsubishi Electric professional engineers for the students to impart the necessary knowledge for better understanding. The launch activity of the lab setup at the institutions was done by Hitesh Bhardwaj, General Manager, Semiconductor and Devices division, Mitsubishi Electric India Pvt. Ltd.
