The Ministry of Railways has invited bids from interested developers for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of a 500 LPD (litres per day) solar water heater system along with all the necessary civil foundation & plumbing work. The deadline for bid submission is November 29, 2021, 11:00 am. The Railway ministry is responsible for the country’s rail transport and operates the statutory body Indian Railways, an organisation that operates as a monopoly in rail transport. The bids will be valid for 90 days and no earnest money is to be deposited. The delivery period beginning from the date of the contract’s issuance is 30 days. The tender document states, “80% payment shall be made to the supplier on receipt of the items in satisfactory condition, against suppliers challan certified by consignee gazetted officer, and inspection certificate issued by the nominated inspection agency. The manufacturer should indicate the name, month, year of manufacturing by casting/stitching/embossing at the appropriate place of each piece supplied without effecting the functional utility and structural stability of the components/materials.
