MES Tenders for 1.5 MW Solar Power Capacity at Air Force Station in Agra

MES has issued a tender for the generation of solar energy of capacity of 1.5 MW at the Air Force Station in Agra.

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has issued a tender, inviting bids for the generation of solar energy of capacity of 1.5 MW at the Air Force Station in Agra. The selected developers will have a period of 12 months from the date of issuance of the letter of award to complete the work on the project.

The last date for bid submission is April 7, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1049.94 lakh, and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 8.49 lakh along with their bids.

The tender shall be Lump-sum based on Drawing and specifications issued in the tender documents to be priced by tenderers. The bidders are required to quote their lump-sum amounts for pre-priced parts of schedule ‘A’ of the tender and quote rates against items of other parts of schedule ‘A’.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, all interested contractors must have experience of having successfully completed works of solar power plants in Government Department  PSU, and should be any of the following:-

One work of capacity > 1.2 MW solar capacity of the plant.

OR Two works of capacity > 0.75 MW solar capacity of the plant.

OR Three works of capacity > 0.60 MW solar capacity of the plant.

In January, the E-in-C Branch of the MES had issued a tender for setting up two rooftop solar plants worth a combined 220 kWp generational capacity. The first plant worth 170 kWp is to be set up at the HQ DGBR complex and the second 50 kWp system is to be set up at the Supervisor Complex in New Delhi. The selected developers have a period of 180 days/ 6 months from the date of issue of the letter of award to complete the work on the project.

In May 2019, the MES had issued a tender to develop a 500 kW solar PV power plant at the MIL station in Jamnagar.
