MEDA Floats Tender for Solar Power Installation in Police Stations

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has issued a tender for the installation of grid-connected solar PV power plants at police stations at Gadchiroli and Bhandara. The proposal comprises setting up 1,095 KW grid-connected solar power system at 32 police stations in Gadchiroli and 7 at Bhandara.

This scope of work encompasses an integrated process of surveying, designing, fabricating, supplying, installing, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the solar power system installed both on rooftops and on ground-mounted ones.

The estimate for the project cost is Rs. 6.02 crores. To submit their tender, a bidder needs to deposit 6.02 lakhs as an EMD. Moreover, a bidder is liable to deposit through RTGS/NEFT, 3% of the contract value of the amount as a security deposit. The cost of the tender document is Rs. 29,500 which includes GST.

“Selected bidder shall be responsible for providing ‘net-metering’ system from respective discom. Installation of Net-Metering is responsibility of Selected bidder, for this Selected bidder has to submit the application with all necessary documents and fees to respective discom Bidder shall provide sealed & tested energy meter at consumption side & generation side of SPV Power Plant along with bidirectional meter as per specifications of DISCOM. Bidder should obtain statutory permissions from statutory bodies wherever required for execution of works, ” the tender read.

MEDA has demanded installation of only mono-PERC solar modules. “Project should be strictly complied with technical specifications mentioned in the tender with Mono Crystalline Solar Panel. Please note that, there will be zero tolerance for confirming to technical
standards, technical specifications and quality of works,” it said.

“The estimated cost of Solar Rooftop project includes Net-meter & load enhancement Cost. Free replacement of defective / damaged components of systems within Comprehensive Maintenance Contract period (CMC) of 5 years after commissioning for efficient running of the system. The Works are to be carried out at various locations under above mentioned location in Gadchiroli & Bhandara District in the State of Maharashtra. Bidder can quote only after site visit. 100% site visit is compulsory,” the tender read.
