Maharashtra Energy Development Issues 10 MW Rooftop Solar PV Tender

Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has invited expression of interest (EoI) for discovering the tariff for the 10 MW Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar PV Systems under the RESCO model. This solar power plant will be installed on the State Government Sector Buildings terrace / Ground. 

The last date to submit the bid is July 18, 2022, till 02:00 PM. Bids will be opened on July 19, 2022, at 03:00 PM. This tender has included design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization work. 

The power developer will be responsible for Operations Maintenance & Warranty for 25 years for this rooftop solar project. These solar system installations will be done under the RESCO model at various locations in Maharashtra.

The following is a list of the tender’s ceiling tariff as determined by MEDA (Maharashtra Energy Development Agency):

• For 10 to 100 KW capacity, the ceiling tariff will be Rs. 3.42/kWh
• For 100 to 500 KW capacity, the ceiling tariff will be Rs. 3.41/kwh.

Each interested bidder will have to pay Security Deposit as per the following capacity slot:

• For 10 to 100 KW capacity, the Security Deposit will be Rs. 3,00,000/-.
• For 100 to 500 KW capacity, the Security Deposit will be Rs 5,00,000/-.

The interested bidder will have to pay Rs.11800/- as an expression of interest processing fee in which 18% GST is included already. 

The minimum annual turnover requirement for prospective bidders to participate in the bidding process is Rs. 4 crore per year for last three financial years.

The average annual revenue of the bidder for the last three years is should be Rs. 8 crores.

Recently, end of May 2022, Maharashtra State issued a tender for wind power. The total capacity of this wind plant was 325 MW which was on a Long Term basis installation. The exercise is being undertaken for intra-state wind power projects.
