MAHAPREIT Calls Solar Developers to Bid for 50 MW Solar Plant Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy And Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) has invited bids to obtain offers from solar power developers for design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of distributed solar project (2 MW to 10 MW capacity). The tender is for the solar park project in Maharashtra with a cumulative capacity of 100 MW on EPC basis. The last date for submission of bids is August 25, 2023. In a major initiative announced recently, MAHAPREIT and the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet forged a partnership for an upcoming 500 MW tender in Maharashtra. MAHAPREIT is a wholly-owned subsidiary firm of MPBCDC (Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation). MAHAPREIT is looking to establish and carry-on business of generating, trading, operating, leasing and renting renewable energy projects, mainly but not limited to solar power projects including solar parks along with substations and transmission lines on ownership and/or build, own and transfer basis. Last month, MAHAPREIT issued an RFS for the outright purchase of land of 1600 Acres with all requisite statutory clearances inclusive of chain link fencing around the periphery of the land, power transmission infrastructure up to the interconnection point of STU and obtaining connectivity with STU for setting up to 400 MW solar power project(s) in the State of Maharashtra.
