MAHAGENCO Invites EoI for 10 MW floating Solar Project By Ankur/ Updated On Mon, Dec 24th, 2018 MAHAGENCO will enter a 25 year power purchase agreement with the developer and will provide the area at the reservoir. Maharashtra’s energy producer, Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has recently invited an expression of interest for the development of a 10 MW grid-connected floating solar power plant at the in Nashik district at Upper Vaitarna’s reservoir. The deadline for the submission of EoI is January 23, 2019. MAHAGENCO will enter a 25 year power purchase agreement with the developer and will provide the area at the reservoir and the power sale agreement will be later signed by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). The scope of work will include the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the solar PV project on the water surface. The successful developer will also construct and erect complete evacuation line from the switchyard of solar PV project to the nearest substation. In March 2018, MAHAGENCO had tendered 50 MW of solar PV projects to be built in the northern region of Maharashtra. In June 2018 as well MAHAGENCO had issued a tender for 750 MW of grid-connected solar PV projects to cater to the electricity needs of the agricultural sector in various substations across the state.
