MAHAGENCO Floats tender for 110 MW of solar power projects in the state By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Sat, Aug 19th, 2017 The 60 MW grid Interactive Solar PV power plant will be developed at various locations of Tembhu, Tal. Karad, Dist. Satara to cater the load of Tembhu lift irrigation scheme on boot basis. Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has floated tendered for two (60 +50 MW) solar projects in the state. The 60 MW grid Interactive Solar PV power plant will be developed at various locations of Tembhu, Tal. Karad, Dist. Satara to cater the load of Tembhu lift irrigation scheme on boot basis. The scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the projects. On the other hand 50 MW solar power project will be developed at various places to cater the AG feeder load of various substations at various places in Western regions of Maharashtra. The projects will be developed on public private partnership basis. Successful bidder will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a 25-year period. Last date for submission of bid for both the tenders is September 26th 2017. I June this year MAHAGENCO invited an expression of interest for 500 MW solar PV farm, which will be country’s biggest solar farm if commissioned, and a further 1.5 GW of small solar farms located at agricultural feeder installations.
