Magenta Power to Roll Out its Street Lamp Integrated EV Charger by April By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Mon, Mar 16th, 2020 Magenta Power, a HPCL-backed startup providing green energy solutions, has today unveiled its first Street Lamp Integrated electric vehicle (EV) Charger called ‘ChargeGrid Flare’. The company is further planning to roll-out this newly launched Street Lamp Integrated EV Charger into the market by next month this year. This new range of EV charging points, which is the first of its kind in the country, can be incorporated within energy-efficient street lamp columns that will encourage EV adoption for flexible and low cost charging solutions. The company said that it has specially designed ChargeGrid Flare in partnership with HPCL to offer energy-efficient street light combined with EV charging point. It is one of a kind product that offers integrated EV charging facilities from within a durable and traditional looking – street light. Further, this unique technology will enable the city to deploy curb side vehicle charging more quickly, with lower cost, and less street clutter than other approaches. During the first stage, these EV chargers will be installed at HPCL retail outlets in major cities on pan India basis.
