A flag-off ceremony for cargo vehicles held at Flipkart’s hub in Inayatpur before the announcement was presided over by Randheer Singh from NITI Ayog, Amit Kumar from Flipkart, Sophia Nadur from BP Ventures, Pooja Mehta from JITO Angel Network, and Maxson Lewis from Magenta Mobility. Magenta Mobility Partners with Flipkart In Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, Magenta Mobility runs an electric fleet of more than 500 vehicles for clients in e-commerce, grocery delivery, FMCG, food, and pharmaceuticals. According to the company, Magenta Transportation plans to set up a fleet of more than 500 electric vehicles in Delhi to serve the needs of businesses eager to make the switch to sustainable mobility this year. While flagging off the event, Randheer Singh, Director of Electric Mobility and ACC Program at NITI Aayog said, “On World EV Aay, it is important for us at NITI Ayog to support endeavors for the adoption of electric mobility, especially in the last mile logistics. It is also important to be part of events where such adoption is happening on the ground. It gives me immense pleasure to be part of an important event where we have multiple stakeholders coming together to make Delhi NCR emission-free.” As per the collaboration document, Flipkart will make use of Magenta’s electric cargo fleets, which include the recently released Mahindra Zor Grand and a few other select OEMs, to hasten the adoption of EVs for last-mile logistics.
