LONGi Bags Top Performer & Achiever Awards at PVEL and RETC

China-based major in solar cells and modules, LONGi Solar has bagged awards and recognition for PV module reliability and performance from two different testing labs— PVEL and RETC.

LONGi received the ‘2021 Top Performer’ rank by PV Evolution Labs (PVEL), a leading independent test lab for the downstream solar industry. The company has won this position for the fifth consecutive year since 2017.

Speaking of LONGi’s consistent performance, the head of PV Module Business at PVEL, Tristan Erion-Lorico, commented, “LONGi has been named a ‘Top Performer’ in our PV Module Reliability Scorecard every year since sales launched in the U.S. in 2017, and this year is no exception. This year, LONGi was named a Top Performer in all six categories. We look forward to our continuing partnership and the opportunity to test LONGi’s new technology in the future.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. Renewable Energy Testing Center (RETC), the leading engineering service and certification testing provider for PV and renewable energy, has bestowed upon LONGi the ‘2021 High Achiever’ title in its PV Module Index Report for the third consecutive year since 2019.

RETC’s PV Module Index Report presents an overview of relevant tests carried out by RETC, covering reliability, performance, and quality indicators. LONGi’s results received a boost from last year and it was the only module manufacturer to receive top marks in all categories.

This month, LONGi consolidated its leading role in R&D innovation in the global PV industry by setting new cell efficiency records for N- and P-type TOPcon and HJT.
