KPI Green Energy Joins Hands with Uttarakhand Govt for 500 MW Solar Park

Independent Power Producer KPI Green Energy has bagged domestic solar power projects with an aggregate capacity of 9.70 MW. Of this capacity, 4.70 MW capacity will be executed by KPI Green Energy Limited and 5 MW capacity by Sun Drops Energia Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the firm, under ‘Captive Power Producer (CPP)’ Segment.

The project has been awarded by various entities with Vibrant Processors Pvt. Ltd. awarding 1.20 MW, Vismita Intermediates Pvt. Ltd. c and Vasant Fabrics Pvt. Ltd awarding 1 MW each. Tulsi Waves Pvt. Ltd. has awarded 5 MW
and JPB Fibers has allotted 1.50 MW capacity.

The project is scheduled to be completed in the financial year 2023-24, in various tranches as per the terms of the order.

Recently, KPI Green Energy entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT). MAHAPREIT is a subsidiary of Maharashtra’s MPBCDC (Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation). KPI Green Energy will work on several projects with MAHAPREIT centered around renewable energy. It also received commissioning certificates from Gujarat Energy Development Agency (‘GEDA’) for its 4.10 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. This entails a 2.10 MW wind and 2 MWdc solar project. The project is established at Samoj site in Jambusar, Dist. Bharuch, Gujarat, under the Gujarat Wind-Solar Hybrid Power policy 2018.
