GIPCL Issues Bids To Supply 500 MW/ 625 MWp PV At Khavda

The Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has now issued a tender to supply solar modules for a 500 MW (AC) / 625 MWp solar PV project at the Great Rann of Kutch near Khavda in Gujarat with September 3rd set as the last date of pre-bid queries/ clarifications. 

GIPCL invited bids to select contractors for the manufacturing, testing, supply, packing, forwarding, handling (up to receipt at the site), insurance, and transportation of bifacial solar PV modules. The tender specifies that the module capacity must range between 540 Wp and 570 Wp for the 500 MW (AC) / 625 MWp. These modules are set to be used for solar projects at the 2,375 MW Renewable Park at Khavda. The responsibility covers all aspects except for unloading at the site.

The bidder is expected to be a solar module manufacturer with 540Wp or above rated PV module (Bi-facial) capacity listed under the latest ALMM order issued by MNRE before the last date of bid submission.

About The Project

GIPCL is developing a 2,375 MW Capacity Ultra Mega Solar/Wind/Hybrid Renewable Energy Park having necessary Infrastructures like a power evacuation system including transmission line internal & external road, stormwater drainage, street lighting, water supply system including a desalination plant, fencing, creation of bund (if required), administrative buildings, telecommunication systems, security, etc.
