KEC International to expand the solar module capacity in India By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Oct 3rd, 2016 KEC International, one of the leading manufacturers of electric power transmission towers and EPC solution provider for engineering procurement and construction is looking to tap the robust pipeline of solar projects in the country. The company is also manufacturing module mounting structures for solar plants. Rajesh Koolwal, Vice President, manufacturing, KEC International said, “The Rajasthan government has signed MoUs for 26000 MW solar power in state. Solar power is a focus area for the Centre also. Keeping in mind the policy thrust and increased demand that is expected to come in the next couple of years, we are expanding the capacity of module mounting structure.” KEC International with its manufacturing unit in Jaipur, has also opened a vision centre in the city as part of its social outreach programme. The government is planning to add 1 lakh MW of solar power generation capacity over the next six years through 2022.
