Karnataka: NTPC REL Opens 600 MW Solar, Power Evacuation Tender NTPC REL

NTPC Renewable Energy has issued a Land and Power Evacuation Package tender to develop 600 MW ISTS-connected Solar projects in Tumkur Region, Karnataka. It has sought bids up till March 18, 2025. 

NTPC REL, a subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy latest tender expects the bidder to undertake land-related works such as providing an arrangement of Government/private Land (5Acres/MW) on a freehold/leasehold basis near Tumkur (ISTS Substation), Karnataka. 

Scope Of Work

NTPC REL in its tender mentioned, “The project lease period would minimum of 29 years 11 months. The bidder would be responsible for understanding the necessary approach road to the Pooling substation including any interconnection between plots (if not readily available) by self or through State machinery. 

The tender also noted the Topography Survey for Land Parcels and any cutting / Filling with compaction. The document mentioned, “The bidder is expected to maintain an average slope of 10% for Solar Project Land for installation of tracker-based MMS. (Tracker system is not included in bidder’s scope). The slope of land would preferably be in one direction for at least 100m length in the N-S Direction.” 

The bidder would also be responsible for “Geotech Investigation for Pooling Substation and Transmission System only as required for Design of Foundations. Undertaking the fencing of the offered Land including entry/exit gates (minimum 2 per plot) including security cabins (as per Tender Drawing) for Solar Project except Tr. Line related Land.”. 

The bidder would be responsible for undertaking the lease management for private land. The tender mentioned, “Payment of lease charges to bonafide landowners on behalf of NTPC REL and getting the same reimbursed from NTPC REL periodically after submission of payment proof. The period of lease management in the scope of the bidder shall be from the date of signing of the lease agreement up to the completion of the O&M period of the contract. All changes in the lease agreement on account of land ownership/inheritance changes during the said period shall also be in the scope of the bidder.”
