Juniper, Jakson Green & RIH Bag GUVNL's 200 MW Wind Project Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has now declared Juniper Green Energy, Jakson Green, and RIH Renewables (EDF Renewables) as winners of its (Phase VIII) 200 MW wind energy project in Gujarat. The tender for this project was released in July this year, and the results were released within four months. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) a state-owned electricity company in Gujarat, has allocated projects to Juniper Green Energy, Jakson Green, and RIH Renewables (EDF Renewables). The project size was later reduced to 200 MW, accordingly. As per the tender result, Juniper won the 50 MW of the wind project at a tariff of Rs. 3.56/kWh followed by RIH Renewables which secured 40 MW at a tariff of Rs. 3.59/kWh and Jakson, which received 50 MW project at a tariff of Rs. 3.63/kWh. The tariff rate for this wind project went up from Rs 3.59/Kwh to Rs. 3.63/kWh. According to the Wood Mackenzie report, “In contrast, onshore wind technology reports a global average LCOE of US$75/MWh, spanning from US$23/MWh to US$139/MWh, demonstrating its competitiveness across a variety of terrains and markets. Offshore wind, particularly floating systems, remains expensive, with fixed installations averaging US$230/MWh and floating systems at US$320/MWh. These costs are expected to fall over time but remain higher than onshore options.” Gujarat: Zodiac Energy Secures 30 MW Solar Project From AMC Also Read Tags: GUVNL, India, jakson Green, Juniper, RIH, tender result, wind energy
