Currently, its operational C&I capacity is at 488 MW JSW Energy Mumbai-based JSW Energy announced securing multiple renewable energy (RE) projects in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) power market. With this latest project, JSW achieved a total locked-in power generation capacity of 20 GW. The company’s locked-in renewable energy (RE) C&I capacity now stands at 3.1 GW. This includes 2,654 MW of JSW group captive capacity and 445 MW of third-party C&I capacity. Currently, the operational C&I capacity of the company stands at 488 MW. In recent developments, the company’s step-down subsidiaries have executed PPAs with DCM Shriram Ltd and Indus Towers Ltd for the supply of renewable energy (RE) power. After this, the company’s total locked-in generation capacity has increased to 20 GW. The company also has 16.2 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through a battery energy storage system and a hydro-pumped storage project. The company aims to reach 20 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity before 2030. JSW Energy has set an ambitious target of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050. JSW Other Projects This project helps the company achieve its long-term goal of reaching 20 GW of generation capacity set for 2030. Currently, JSW Renew Energy Eleven Limited, a JSW Energy Limited subsidiary, is set to supply 700 MW of solar energy to Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). JSW secured this project from SECI’s Tranche XIII program, power from this project would be supplied for 25 years, with a tariff set at ₹2.56 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). To expand its renewable energy footprint the JSW subsidiary JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSWNEL), signed definitive agreements this week, to acquire three Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) from Hetero Labs Limited and Hetero Drugs Limited (Hetero Group). These SPVs collectively hold a cumulative wind energy generation capacity of 125 megawatts (MW). The transaction is subject to the necessary approvals, and once completed, the SPVs will become subsidiaries of JSWNEL and step-down subsidiaries of JSW Energy.
