JinkoSolar has announced that its team, led by Xiande Li, Chairman of the Company, had a fruitful strategic meeting in Beijing on May 17th with Saleh Al-Alawaji, Deputy Minister for Electricity Affairs, KSA and Chairman of the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). At the meeting Alawaji briefly introduced Saudi Electricity Company’s business operation, service and long-term business view, followed by the insight on renewable energy development, target and potential in Saudi Arabia. Xiande Li also shared about Jinkosolar’s development, scale, capacity and the latest achievements in both manufacturing and project development in solar industry. Being qualified in the shortlist of Round 1 of Saudi’s national renewable energy program (NREP) by 2023, JinkoSolar in a statement said that it impressed Al-Awaji of its extensive experience, solid financing capability and strong track record of project development, especially its winning of the milestone project in Dubai. Li also said highly of SEC’s efforts on implementing the Saudi’s national strategy of energy diversification and its work on the fair, transparent open bidding mechanism to IPP participants all over the world. This strategic partnership meeting forges stronger linkage and inaugurates cooperation between both companies and both countries in the field of solar electricity sector in the Kingdom.
