JinkoSolar Delivers 42 MWh Storage System In Yunnan By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Dec 21st, 2023 JinkoSolar Delivers 42 MWh Storage System In Yunnan JinkoSolar has delivered 42MWh of its flagship liquid cooling energy storage SunTera to Power China’s the Xiaoheima PV+Storage project in Yunnan, China, which will be commissioned in 2024. This solar plus storage system is to ensure a stable and reliable electricity grid. As a result of patent designed liquid cooling, the temperature differences among cells are controlled within 2.5 Celsius degrees, the lowest level available. Therefore, it prolongs the life cycle and enhances charge/discharge efficiency substantially by avoiding the barrel effect which is caused by uneven temperature of cells. Further, the system is optimized for safety performance because of its five levels of anti-fire and anti-explosion design and Perfluorohexanone firefighting system. In addition, Smart O&M via the EMS provides ease of operation and maintenance after commissioning. Combined with the solar system, the highly integrated ESS SunTera can be widely used in multiple applications, including reducing the amount of abandoned photovoltaic power, participating in the peak frequency regulation of the power grid, and improving the operation and regulation capability of the PV project and its stable and reliable operation capability.
