Jharkhand Seeks Empanelment of Solar Hot Water System Providers The Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has sought bids from prospective developers for solar hot water systems. The tender said that the bidders would also have to take care of the maintenance of the systems for the first five years post-commissioning. The tender document sought bids for the empanelment of such agencies for the supply, installation and commission of 3 lakh Litres Per Day Solar Hot Water Systems (SHWS) of different capacities. It has asked the bidders to submit their applications by August 23. JREDA will open the technical bid on August 25. JREDA has planned to keep the contract under this arrangement for one year. The tender document said the maximum lot size capacity of 50,000 LPD and a minimum capacity of 10,000 LPD. It said no bidder should submit bids for quantity more than the maximum and not less than the minimum lot size. JREDA sought the tender under its Solar Thermal Programme where it wants to encourage the use of solar energy for heating of water by the public as well as private buildings. “The successful bidder shall be empaneled to execute Supply, Installation & Commissioning of complete Solar Hot Water System Evacuated Tube Collectors (ETC)/ Flat Plate Collector Based (FPC) based systems with five years Warrantee of various capacities with required specifications as per MNRE, Govt. of India guidelines along with other additional works required at site etc. The successful bidders have to identify the prospective customers/beneficiary i.e. marketing has to be done by successful bidder itself and JREDA will also provide the list of the beneficiary, if available,” the tender said. JREDA said that it would provide necessary support in the identification of beneficiaries through paper advertisement.
