IREDA and IIT Bhubaneswar Collaborate, Support RE Research In Startup Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) an Indian public sector enterprise that provides financial assistance and other services to projects related to renewable energy, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar. The MoU, inked today at the 100 Cube Start-up Conclave held at IIT Bhubaneswar, aims to support collaborative efforts in innovation and research initiatives, technology transfer, and nurturing the start-up ecosystem. The MoU was signed by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of IREDA, and Debi Prasad Dogra, Independent Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, in the august presence of Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar, Director of IIT Bhubaneswar. Speaking on this momentous occasion, Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of IREDA, said, “This partnership with IIT Bhubaneswar marks a significant milestone in our journey towards fostering innovation and sustainable development in the renewable energy domain. By leveraging the experience and resources of both organizations, we aim to drive impactful research initiatives and propel the growth of the renewable energy sector.” The collaboration between IREDA and IIT Bhubaneswar is poised to facilitate joint research efforts, facilitate technology transfer, and provide comprehensive support for the start-up ecosystem. It will also encompass capacity-building initiatives such as training programs, seminars, and workshops to enhance the skills of IREDA officials. Earlier this year, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), a non-banking financial institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) about co-lending and loan syndication for a diverse spectrum of renewable energy projects across the country. The MoU includes provisions for co-lending and co-origination support for all projects related to renewable energy.
