IRCON Renewable Issues Tender for Solar Power Projects for Karnataka

IRCON Renewable Power (IRPL) has floated a tender for the supply of 500 MW of solar power projects at Pavagada in Karnataka. The last date for submitting the online bid is September 16, 2022, and the bids will be opened on September 17, 2022.

As per the tender document, the completion period of this solar project is 6 months from the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to the actual commercial operation date of the project.

This IRPL 500 MW solar tender includes the scope of work in design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, all related and associated civil works, installation, and commissioning including warrantee obligation with comprehensive operation and maintenance. The project will be built by the domestic content requirement (DCR) category, according to the tender document.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 77,35,136/-. To participate in the online bidding process, interested bidders need to pay Rs. 5000/- as a tender / RFS document fee, which is non-refundable. The awarded bidder will have to pay Rs. 1,93,500/- as an Earnest Money Deposit.

A minimum of one plant, with a capacity of 20 MW or higher, shall have been designed, built, and operational by bidders as EPC contractors or as developers for grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 80 MW or higher. Before the bid opening date, the reference project with a capacity of 20 MW or more has to have been in operation for at least six months.

To procure this IRPL 500 MW solar project tender, the minimum annual turnover for the last three financial years, the requirement for prospective bidders to participate in the bidding process is at least shall be calculated as follows:

4.0 Cr. X Capacity in MW bidder is bidding X 0.7 = X Cr. 

The net worth of the bidder should also be positive for the last Financial Year. Net Worth of the bidder shall be calculated as follows: 

Net Worth = (Equity + Reserves) – (Revaluation reserves+ intangible assets + miscellaneous expenses to the extent not written off + carried forward losses).
