Inverter Major SOFAR Signs a 100MW Utility Deal With Velan Infra By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Aug 14th, 2023 Sofar Set To Expand In C&I and Utility-Scale Projects: Sunil Tiku SOFAR, a global provider of all-scenario solar PV and energy storage solutions, has signed a 100MW contract of supplying SOFAR 255KTL-HV utility string inverters for solar plants in Tamil Nadu with Velan Infra. The commissioning of the entire 100MW project is expected to be completed by November 2023. According to the firm, the SOFAR 255KTL-HV is a highly efficient and reliable inverter designed for utility solar. The inverter boasts an impressive 12 MPPTs with a max. efficiency up to 99.02%, able to create optimal values for end users. Its IP66 and C5 protection ensures stable operation even under varying weather conditions. The AC/DC dual power supply design and 24/7 monitoring can realize protection against power failures. Additionally, the I-V curve scanning provides real-time updates on the system performance. “High efficiency, easy installation & maintenance design of SOFAR string inverters, in addition to their local technical support and global acceptance are some of the important aspects of why we chose SOFAR as the inverter supplier. We would be happy to be associated with SOFAR for our future projects as well,” said G. Shanmugavel, Chairman & MD, Velan Infra Projects Private Limited.
