Inox Wind Secures 51 MW Order From Everrenew For Tamil Nadu Project Inox Wind To Scale Up Executions With A New 'Net Cash Positive' Tag

Inox Wind Limited (IWL), a wind energy solutions provider, has informed the stock exchanges that it has bagged an order for 51 MW from Everrenew Energy, a commercial and industrial (C&I) energy developer. This is an equipment supply order for IWL’s latest 3 MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). Additionally, Inox Wind is expected to provide post-commissioning multi-year operations & maintenance (O&M) services. The project will be executed in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Inox, in its recent quarterly result, mentioned that the company executed 140 MW projects in Q1 of the financial year FY25, up 112% year-over-year (YoY). In FY25, Inox received order inflows of 611 MW. This included a 210 MW repeat order from Hero Future Energies, a 200 MW order from a C&I player, and a 201 MW repeat order from Integrum Energy.

Inox Wind has a current order book of more than 2.9 GW. The firm, along with Suzlon, has been on a tear recently on the stock markets, with watchers expecting the wind energy sector to have a very strong runway for the next few quarters on the back of bulging order books and more wind tenders expected. The surge has been driven by both a backlog from previous years as well as a shift towards Hybrid tenders. Importantly, the C&I segment is emerging as a key offtaker, with projects that are usually estabished faster.
