(Continuum), a renewable energy company, having expertise in Commercial and industrial (C&I) projects. This repeat order is for Inox Wind’s 3 MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). The project will be executed on an end-to-end turnkey basis. In addition, Inox Wind plans to provide multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) services post-commissioning. The project will be executed in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. With this new order, the total cumulative orders from Continuum reached around 700 MW, and IWL’s order book has grown to over 3.4 GW—the highest in the company’s history, the firm said. Commenting on the occasion, Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO of Inox Wind Ltd., said, “Our state-of-the-art 3 MW turbines and our exceptional turnkey wind capabilities continue to be highly preferred by project developers. Inox Wind is now planning to introduce larger 4 MW turbines to meet emerging market needs. The company in an investor’s call said, “We are working on that 4 MW turbine, as previously discussed. The engineering phase is complete, and we have ordered some prototype components. We plan to proceed with all certifications early next year, with potential commercial production starting in the latter half of FY25-26 or early in Calendar 2026,” said Devansh Jain, Executive Director of Inox Wind. The company is now also optimistic about the existing Indian wind market with the rise in tenders and award of wind power projects. It also found the tariffs competitive, which has given a fillip to the sector in H2. Can India See Large Wind Turbines Beyond 6 MW?
