Inox Wind Executes 990 MW Wind Energy Order For Purvah Green By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Mon, Apr 21st, 2025 Highlights : Inox Wind had signed a 1,500 MW framework agreement with a subsidiary of CESC Ltd., Purvah Green Of the 1,500 MW, execution of the turnkey part – 990 MW – is in full swing with commissioning expected from FY26 onwards Inox Wind Inox Wind Limited (IWL) has executed a 990 MW turnkey order under a 1,500 MW framework agreement, with implementation underway across multiple sites in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. The company said it has received all project-related advances, and commissioning is expected to begin in phases from FY26 onwards. The order from Kolkata-based Purvah Green Private Limited, a subsidiary of Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC), is among the largest wind orders placed by an independent power producer (IPP) in India to a wind turbine manufacturer, the company said. Commenting on this occasion, Kailash Tarachandani, Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Inox Wind Ltd., said, “We are pleased to announce that we are now executing the entire 990 MW of turnkey project for Purvah across multiple locations. We will commence the commissioning of the project in a phased manner starting FY26. This is a milestone order for Inox Wind from an esteemed customer and we are confident of deepening our relationship further.” Sandeep Kashyap, CEO – Renewables Business at RPSG Group, said “We are pleased with the progress which we have achieved on this project. This is an important project for us, which will significantly contribute to achieve our green ambitions.” Inox Wind’s Previous Projects & FY25 Plans In an update during the financial results for Q3 FY25, Tarachandani CEO, Inox Wind said, “I’m happy to announce that we will commission our nacelle manufacturing unit, operationalize our initial few cranes, and commence our transformer manufacturing lines—all within Q4 FY25. Also Read On plans for 2024, he said, “We are on track with the 4 MW platform, and commercial production is likely to start in the second half or toward Q4 FY26. Project suitability will vary—some sites will be ideal for 4 MW turbines, while more complex ones may still use 3 MW.
