Industrial Solar Arm Inks Pact with UNIPER for Solar Process Heat By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Mon, Nov 4th, 2019 With an aim to use solar process heat in place of thermal in the industry, solar energy equipment provider Industrial Solar Holding Europe AB, via its wholly owned subsidiary, German Industrial Solar has signed a cooperation agreement with UNIPER SE. The move came after the company analyses the huge potential of solar process heat in industrial applications. It also felt that the potential for solar process heat was untapped as fossil fuel prices and carbon taxes remain low. Besides, thermal power required in the industrial processes will amounts to approx 25 percent of the global final energy demand. Meanwhile, Industrial Solar is having an experience of more than a decade in the field of solar process heat systems. The company uses linear Fresnel technology and direct steam generation in its solar process heat systems. On the other hand, UNIPER is a global energy company that generates, trades, and markets energy on a large scale. It already provides heat as a service to its industrial customers, who are now more and more demanding renewable solutions reducing their carbon footprint. Industrial Solar GmbH is an international leading technology and solution provider. It develops projects mainly based on its innovative Fresnel collector technology which is suitable for fulfilling an expected growing market of solar process heat. Industrial Solar offers turnkey solutions for customers in several industries. Tags: German Industrial Solar, Industrial Solar, Solar Process Heat, UNIPER
