Indian Railways Issues Tender for 2 MW Solar Projects Near Delhi By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Wed, Jan 16th, 2019 REMCL is Selecting Project Developers for 750 MW RTC Power The last date for submission of bids is January 28, 2019. Railway Energy Management Company Limited (REMCL), a joint venture of India Railways and RITES Ltd., incorporated to manage Energy Management portfolio of Indian Railways, on behalf of Northern Railway (NR) has invited proposals from contractors/firms for setting up of 2 MW Solar PV Power Plant in vacant railway land along the track in Delhi – Ambala section of Northern Railway through developer mode under Tariff Based competitive bidding. REMCL will act as Bid Process Coordinator and shall discover the tariff of solar power through open bidding, as it will be responsible for complete tendering process till award of work. NR shall enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the selected Bidder based on the RFP document. The power from this plant will be utilized by Railway where it is taking power as Deemed Licensee, and the power generated from this solar power plant would be required to be injected into the 132 KV, 3 Phase AC Railways Transmission System near Diwana. NR shall be the Nodal Railway for the project and shall sign PPA with the Solar Power Developer (SPD) for a period of 25 years. The last date for submission of bids is January 28, 2019. To be eligible to bid for the project, the net worth of the bidder should be equal to or greater than the Rs 1.07 crore per MW of the project capacity as on the last date of the financial year 2017-18.
