Indian Oil Tenders for AMC of 600 kW Rooftop Solar System in Mathura

Indian Oil has issued a tender for the comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for its 600 kW rooftop solar PV system at its Mathura Refinery.

The Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has issued a tender, seeking eligible bidders for the comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for its 600 kW rooftop solar PV system at its Mathura Refinery.

As per the tender documents, the most important objective of the Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract job shall be to get the designed results of the solar PV power system in addition to the normal maintenance activities covered in the Comprehensive AMC. The Contractor shall be responsible for all the required activities for the successful running, optimum energy generation as well as maintenance of associated facilities.

During the contract period, the Contractor shall be fully responsible for the smooth functioning of the system and ensure the deliverance of designed results. Further, during the contract period, the Contractor shall also be responsible to maintain the web-based monitoring system of this solar power plant and generating relevant data as well as reports as per the requirements of IOCL.

For maintenance of solar panels, the tasks will be:

– Cleaning of PV module surface on a regular basis as per OEM guidelines & site requirements. Fortnightly cleaning of solar panels with water and cleaning agents if required (cleaning agents like shampoo, surf, etc. is to be supplied by the vendor free of cost).

– Fortnightly Measurement of string currents to be undertaken to identify faulty strings. In case of faulty strings, connectors/ fuse at junction box to be checked for failure and to be replaced accordingly.

– Monitoring of inverter wake-up in the morning, and periodic measurement of voltage/current at critical locations (as per OEM instruction) for timely identification of abnormality.

The last date for bid submission is April 23, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on April 25, 2020. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 47,500, however, certain bidders will be exempt from payment of EMD.

The period of work under the AMC will be for a period of 1825 days or 5 years from the date of issuance of the letter of award.

In December 2019, IOCL had issued a tender for the constriction and deployment of 130 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant at its small can filling plant in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Prior to that in November 2019, IOCL had issued a tender for the commissioning of 600 kW grid-connected rooftop solar power projects at the firms’ Gujarat Refinery Township.
