Indian Oil Issues Bid For Solar Projects In Rajasthan And Gujarat Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) recently released a tender to build grid-connected solar projects without battery backup across three groups at various locations. These projects will be developed at various locations across Rajasthan and Gujarat. Under the Western Region Pipeline (WRPL), the project is divided into three groups, spread across 34 locations. The tender said that the projects will be based at Chaksu and Jodhpur Base (Group 1). The second group (Group 2), will be located at 27 locations under WRPL Koyali, Rajkot, and Vadinar Base and at 24 locations under WRPL Mundra and Viramgam Base (Group 3). A timeline of seven months was set for the completion of the Group 1 projects, six months for the 27 Group 2 projects, and five months for the 24 Group 3 projects. The tender said that the bidder must have completed at least one similar project within the last seven years. The Indian Oil tender requires bidders to meet specific minimum work order qualifications. Bidders are expected to have prior experience in similar work, either as contractors or subcontractors, within the past seven years. Additionally, the bidder must have completed at least one similar project (including goods and services tax/service tax, as applicable) costing no less than Rs. 65.25 lakh for Group 1, Rs. 24.91 lakh for Group 2, and Rs. 36.65 lakh for Group 3. For instance, under Group 1, bidders must submit Rs. 32,700.00, while under Groups 2 and 3, bidders are required to submit Rs. 17,500.00 and Rs. 18,400.00, respectively. The tender also set the performance security/ISD of 2.5 % of the nominal contract value to be submitted at the time of contract signing.
