Indian Oil Introduces Indoor Cooking Stove, Surya Nutan By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Jun 23rd, 2022 IOC Chairman Presents 500 Solar-Powered Indoor Cooking Systems to Sri Lanka Indian Oil Company has unveiled Surya Nutan, a solar cooking system developed indigenously. The three models, priced in the range of Rs 12,000 and Rs 23,000, are kitchen connected and rechargeable. The company called this a major innovation in energy transition and energy security, given that India is currently dependent on other countries for half of its LPG requirement. Chairman, IOC, S.M. Vaidya, said that the company could either manufacture independently or resort to contract manufacturing. Customers will initially be reached through IOC’s LPG network.
