Green Stocks Dec 17: Borosil Renewables, Waaree RTL Stand Out Borosil Renewables Plunges While Most Green Stocks Record Marginal Increase

With the broader market slumping yet again, unable to sustain over 24500 levels, some of our green stocks found their mojo yet again to rise sharply. Borosil Renewables stood out with an over 4% jump to cross the Rs 600 mark yet again, while Waaree RTL, the EPC arm of the Waaree group, seemed to have found believers again with a similar jump. Wind equipment maker Suzlon too enjoyed investor support with a 4% jump as well. Shakti Pumps continued its momentous rise to rise almost 3% again, before settling with smaller gains today.

One has to say that looking at order books and the supply situation in hand, the next two quarters should lead to very strong operating performances from most renewable energy stocks, be they EPC, manufacturing, or developers. For investors, the key point to consider will be the situation post-June 2025, or perhaps even the third quarter of FY26, when heightened competition across the board could finally begin to show on the bottom lines. And the effect of a higher base as well from the numbers in Fy25 of course.
