Green Stocks April 17: Mixed Day With News Based Movements

On a day when the nifty comfortably outshone the small cap and mid-cap indices, most of our green stocks that belong to the latter two categories followed the same pattern. While EPC firms continued their momentum from yesterday led by Waaree RTL and Sterling and Wilson Renewable energy, giving them company were solar manufacturers Premier Energies and Waaree Energies, both of which also enjoyed healthy gains over the mean today.
Borosil saw a sharp uptick as always after some time, while NTPC Green shone brighter among the large developers today.

The market is clearly moving on news now, as demonstrated by the rewarding ride for Waaree RTL investors post its strong Q4 results. It was the same story for wind energy form Suzlon, which jumped higher on the back of a significant order win of 100 MW from Sunsure Energy.

Not many results are scheduled for next week, but starting the week after that, things will certainly get interesting. For what its worth, we believe most of the green energy stocks will deliver results on expected lines or even beat estimates, which should augur well to provide strong support at current levels.
