IIT Kharagpur Student Gets Award at Clean Energy Conference in Paris By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Wed, Feb 21st, 2018 The chemical engineering student, Ankur Mehta, was awarded the ‘Best (Oral) Presentation Certificate’ in the 7th edition of the 3-day International Conference. Ankur Mehta, a fourth year undergraduate student of IIT Kharagpur, has secured an award at an international conference on ‘Clean and Green Energy’ (ICCGE-2018) in Paris. The chemical engineering student, Ankur Mehta, was awarded the ‘Best (Oral) Presentation Certificate’ in the 7th edition of the 3-day International Conference. This achievement is rare for an undergraduate student to top the presentation category while competing with senior researchers and faculty. He was chosen the best speaker in the ‘Energy and Power Engineering’ session after he presented his research paper. Ankur Mehta who’s doing his BTP on Bioenergy under supervision of Dr. Saikat Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering & School of Energy Science and Engineering. ICCGE 2018 brings together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Clean and Green Energy to a common forum. Moreover, the primary goal of the conference was to promote research and developmental activities in Clean and Green Energy.
