IIT Bombay graduate Sushil Reddy covers 7000+ kms on solar powered electric bicycle

IIT Bombay alumnus from Energy Science Department, Sushil Reddy who had embarked on 7000+ kms journey in India on solar powered electric bicycle to raise awareness in the country, has finally completed his mission.

Throughout the journey of 70 odd days, they talked to people about the importance of solar energy at the grassroots level at certain schools/universities/organizations on the route.

Reddy with a support vehicle, support crew and Rajendra Bhaskar rode across 5 states and two UTs to showcase the application, talked about the importance and potential of solar energy, the challenges and opportunities in this upcoming solar energy sector and motivated people to go for solar.

Reddy is currently working on a cheaper version of the solar cycle model and is expected to cost around Rs. 30,000. The solar cycle will be launched within two years from now in India said Reddy.
