Huawei Showcases New Product Line Virtually By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Jun 12th, 2020 Huawei, the global inverter market leader, has not allowed the pause in industry events and shows to stop its own product launches and displays. The company organised its first global FusionSolar Smart PV virtual show with a live broadcast to customers and partners in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the rest of the world on June 11. The well attended show was themed, PV advancing into the AI era. The firm made every effort to make the show a success, with key management personnel and its top of the line launches a key highlight for the virtual ‘attendees’. At the event opening, Chen Guoguang, President of Huawei Smart PV Business said, ‘Huawei is actively promoting the deeper integration of 5G, AI and many new ICT technologies with PV, building optimal LCOE, smart O&M experience and bringing more values to our customers. We hope to work with customers and partners to build an even more thriving smart PV ecosystem.’ Chen Guoguang, President, Huawei Smart PV Business The Smart PV solution and products that were showcased included commercial and residential smart inverters, the second generation optimizer and the residential energy storage system, and the new FusionSolar 6.0+ solution for utility projects. Commercial: Launching inverter SUN2000-30/36/40KTL-M3 which is more efficient and compact, upgraded the security level to IP66. It comes with industry leading AFCI technology . And it could identify arc features of 200-meter cable in commercial projects, (the industry standard UL1699B is 80 meters and the longer the cable is, the more difficult to identify the arc characteristics.) which has proven to be safer and more accurate. Residential: Launching inverter SUN2000-2-6KTL-L1 (Single Phase) and the second generation of optimizer SUN2000-450W-P with better efficiency and yields. Equipped with AI technologies, its AFCI feature could continue self-learning from the database of millions of arcs’ features and provides ultimate safety. In addition, with new Pinpoint Arc Fault Positioning, the firm claims that now arcing troubleshooting time can be reduced by 80%. A residential energy storage solution LUNA2000-5/10/15-S0 with a modular design was also launched. Utility: Launching the FusionSolar 6.0+ Utility Smart PV Solution with key AI Boost features, e.g. Smart Tracker Control Algorithm, Smart I-V Curve Diagnosis 4.0 and Smart Grid-connection Algorithm, which helps to achieve grid parity with AI technologies and provides optimal LCOE and grid supporting solutions. The firm claims that the Smart I-V Curve Diagnosis 4.0 could analyze 100MW plant within 15 minutes, with industry-leading accuracy and be compatible with various settings, for example, bifacial and shingled modules. AI-supported Smart Grid-connection Algorithm could enable plant operation to be more stable even under an extremely weak power grid with SCR=1.5. To provide an experience as close to a topline exhibition as possible, the firm created a FusionSolar Smart PV virtual showroom. The VR showroom provides a fully immersive and interactive 360 experience and demonstrates the full suite of Huawei’s FusionSolar solutions. An Immersive VR experience Huawei is a leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices. Since its beginnings in 1987, in its four key domains – telecom networks, IT, smart devices, and cloud services – the firm has made quick inroads to emerge in the leaders pack in each. Huawei has been a heavy investor in basic research. With over 194,000 employees, across more than 170 countries and regions. For its Fusion Solar range of smart inverters, the firm has made 2020 the year when it will integrate AI technologies to boost LCOE and accelerate grid parity for all.
