HLL Lifecare Bags 1 MW, Travancore Titanium Wins 2 MW ANERT Solar Tenders Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has plotted a series of tenders to install rooftop solar on 300 government buildings as part of Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. Under these initiatives, various government departments, including education, all government schools, headoffices and hospitals will be equipped with rooftop solar ranging from 2 Kw to 2 MW. These tenders were released in January 2023. For rooftop solar projects of up to 50 KW, 70 sites have been chosen for project installations. Solar installations have already already taken place in a hundred buildings. As part of the series of tenders announced, Wattsun Energy and Enerture Technologies have won 1 MW and 2 MW of capacities resepectively and emerged as the lowest bidders in competitive bidding. Wattsun quoted INR 51,000 per KW while Enerture Titanium quoted INR 48490 per KW. The project cost for the said 1 MW tender is pegged at over INR 5 cr while for the 2 MW tender, it is pegged at INR 9.75 Cr. Of the 2 MW tender, 1.5 MW will be for ground mounted solar, while the other 0.5 MW tender will be for rooftop solar. The MW project will be established at HLL Lifecare. The 2 MW project will be set up at Travancore Titanium. Earlier, ANERT issued an RFS (Request for Selection) for agency for the implementation of 2 MW solar power plant at Travancore Titanium Products Ltd, Kochuveli, Thiruvananthapuram under Solar City Project funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram Ltd.
