Historic Bombay Presidency Radio Club installs net metered rooftop solar By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Sat, Aug 27th, 2016 The historic Bombay Presidency Radio Club has turned to solar to meet its energy needs. SolarTown Energy Solutions Pvt. Also, SolarTown with this project becomes the first ever company in Mumbai to commission a net-metered solar rooftop installation in the city. Further, the club will be selling its excess electricity back to the grid under Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport (BEST), in turn reducing its utility bill. SolarTown has signed a 25-year lease agreement with the club for at rate that is 35 to 40 percent lower than their utility tariff.
