These could be ranging from 250 KW to 5 MW. Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Issues Tender for 12 MW Solar Project Himurja, the state energy agency responsible for the promotion and sustainable development of renewable energy and related R&D in Himachal Pradesh has invited bids for the establishment of 100 MW solar plants in Himachal Pradesh. These will be set up on private and leased land. The PRO of Himurja Panna Lal revealed that the tender is for the exploration of the potential of solar power on the ground mounted solar power projects of 100 MW. These could be ranging from 250 KW to 5 MW. The work would entail from concept to commissioning, which will also include a feasibility survey and investigation. The 30 MW capacity solar power project ranging from 250 KW to 1 MW has been reserved for Bonafide Himachalis individual partnership firm or private limited companies that have 100 MW shareholding of Bonafide Himachali. The rest 70 MW capacity solar power project from above 1 MW to 5 MW would be open to all solar power producers who are interested. The format of the application along with detailed guidelines can be accessed at www.himurja.hp.gov.in. Only online applications for the tender will be accepted. The Himachal Pradesh government has set a target to install 500 MW of solar power plants in the Himalayan state in the 2023-24 financial year. HPPCL has been obligated to install 200 MW out the targeted capacity. Himurja requires to set up 150 MW and the rest is yet to be decided.
