PM Modi today inaugurated Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The airport has been outfitted by infrastructure solutions company Jakson Group with a 500 kW solar carport.

Mr. Gagan Chanana CEO & Jt. Managing Director of Jakson Distributed Energy Business, stated, “Our participation in the Gwalior airport project underscores our commitment to India’s sustainable development. We are honoured to support the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s clean energy vision, reflecting our dedication to the national renewable energy goals. This effort is part of our wider strategy to improve the energy infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh and the entire country, highlighting our commitment to fostering an environmentally conscious future.”

The project in Gwalior showcases Jakson Group’s 550 Helia series mono PERC modules (half-cut technology), aiming to offset 600 tons of CO2 emissions and produce 7,50,000 kWh of power annually. Moreover, these ALMM-approved modules guarantee exceptional quality and performance, reinforcing the project’s efficiency.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Chairman Airport Authority Sanjeev Kumar, and other dignitaries, celebrating the inauguration of the airport.

In other news, Jakson Group has installed a 250 kW solar rooftop at the newly inaugurated International Airport in Ayodhya, in January. Jaksonupgraded its fully automated solar module manufacturing facility in Noida, to a robust 1,200 MW. In a recent interview with a business portal, Jakson Group revealed its plan to raise $500 million.

In other news, CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions, a leading C&I Renewable Energy Company with projects across Asia and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) have signed a 25-year long-term PPA for the generation and supply of renewable energy from a 45.9 MW Solar-wind Captive Power Project under a SPV named – Clean Max BIAL Renewable Energy Private Limited. CleanMax said that the captive power project set up in the solar-wind farm located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, owned and operated by CleanMax, will consist of 36 MWp of solar power and 9.9 MW of wind power plants.
