GUVNL Invites Bids for 300 MW Wind Power Project Phase IV By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Oct 20th, 2022 Highlights : Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has floated a tender the phase IV of 300 MW for the purchase of power through a competitive bidding process. This project will be a grid-connected wind power project to be set up anywhere in India with an additional 300 MW capacity under the ‘Greenshoe Option’ for compliance with the Renewable Power Purchase Obligation of its DISCOMs. Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) has floated a tender the phase IV of 300 MW grid-connected for the purchase of power through a competitive bidding process. This project will be a grid-connected wind power project to be set up anywhere in India with an additional 300 MW capacity under the ‘Greenshoe Option’ for compliance with the Renewable Power Purchase Obligation of its DISCOMs. Obligations of the Power Producer The Power Producer shall obtain all statutory approvals, clearances, and permits necessary for the Project at his cost in addition to the Approvals as listed in the document. The Power Producer shall obtain financial closure within seven months from the date of execution of the PPA. The Power Producer will have to submit the required documents to GUVNL at least 14 days before the scheduled deadline for the attainment of financial closure. In case of delay in submission of documents mentioned above, GUVNL shall not be liable for delay in verification of documents and subsequent delay in financial closure. An extension for the attainment of the financial closure can however be considered by GUVNL, on the sole request of the power producer, on advance payment of extension charges of Rs. 1,000/- per day per MW. In case of any delay in depositing this extension charge, the Power Producer has to pay interest on this extension charge for the days lapsed beyond the due date of financial closure. Greentech Gets O&M Deal for Wind Turbines of Enel Green In Gujarat Also Read Criteria for Generation: The Power Producer shall maintain generation to achieve annual CUF within + 20% and -20% of the annual contracted CUF (as declared in Schedule 4 of this Agreement) during the PPA duration of 25 years. The lower limit will, however, be relatable by GUVNL to the extent of the non-availability of the grid for evacuation which is beyond the control of the power producer. For the first year of operation of the project, the annual CUF shall be calculated for the period from the COD of the Project till 31st March of the respective financial year. Subsequently, the annual CUF will be calculated every year from 1 st of April of the year to the 31st of March of next year (2023).
