The lowest capacity a company can bid for is 25 MW and GUVNL will sign a power purchase agreement with the company for a tenure of 25 yearsThe Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has initiated the process of procuring  500 MW capacity of power from a grid-connected solar power plant of in phase IV of Gujarat’s solar push.

The last date for submission of bid is January 30, 2019, and the technical bid will be opened next day.

The lowest capacity a company can bid for is 25 MW and GUVNL will sign a power purchase agreement with the company for a tenure of 25 years from the date of commissioning.

The plant is being set up to fulfil the renewable purchase obligation as well as to meet the energy requirements which the distribution companies will have in future.

The tariff will be set based on e-bidding and e-reverse auction.

The date for the opening of the financial bid and reverse e-auction is February 6, 2019.

The eligibility criteria states that a company having a solar power under construction, or a company having a small PPA in case they are not already accepted under any other central or state schemes and do not have any obligations towards existing buyers.

The financial eligibility states that the company bidding must have a turnover of Rs 107 lakh as n year ended March 31,  2018.’

The companies bidding can avail benefits like accelerated depreciation, concessional customs and excise duties, tax holidays, benefits from trading of carbon credits, etc.

Projects under construction, which are not yet commissioned, or projects already commissioned but do not have any long-term PPA may be considered eligible in case they are not already accepted under any other central or state schemes and do not have any obligations towards existing buyers.
