GreenGo Energy & Encavis Partner for 132 MW Solar Project in Denmark A firm that originates, develops, constructs and manages renewable energy solutions with renewable energy investors, GreenGo Energy and an acquirer and operator wind farms and solar parks, Encavis have announced that the 132 MW solar project in Denmark, The Nørhede-Hjortmose, is ready to be built. The project will be established on an area of 270 hectare and will be among the largest in Denmark when it starts operating in 2026. The project has been in the planning phase for a few years. Karsten Nielsen, CEO of GreenGo Energy, stated, “This is a milestone. For us, for our strategic partner Encavis, and for the transition to green energy in Denmark. Together with Encavis alone, we are developing more than 500 MW of subsidy-free solar energy in Denmark.” He further informed, “In total, GreenGo Energy has recently reached +2GW solar power planned in Denmark. That is also a milestone.” Mario Schirru, Chief Investment Officer/Chief Operating Officer at Encavis, shared his views, “Our Danish solar park portfolio now comprises almost 400 MW and, together with Germany (over 400MW) and Spain (583MW), is one of our largest solar park portfolios in Europe. The involvement of Encavis in Denmark is thus also a contribution to the further diversification of our activities in the growth market of subsidy-free solar energy.” Back in 2019, the two firms had joined hands in partnership to establish subsidy-free solar energy for capacity of over 500 MW in Denmark. Denmark is significantly augmenting its renewables portfolio. It has set sights on its largest offshore wind tender of 9 GW capacity. This has potential to expand to 14 GW or more, as per the Danish Energy Agency. Tags: 132 MW solar project in Denmark, encavis, GreenGo, The Nørhede-Hjortmose
