GP Eco Solutions Secures Multiple Solar Projects From UPNEDA

Noida-based solar and storage solutions firm GP Eco Solutions India received a Letter of Award (LoA) from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for multiple solar projects.

While announcing the recent win in a regulatory filing, the company stated, “GP Eco Solutions has secured the Letter of Award (LoA) from the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for a 2.3 MWac grid-connected solar power project in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), and a 3 MWac grid-connected solar power project in Kanpur Dehat, U.P., under the PM-KUSUM Component-C2 Scheme through the RESCO model. The total project value  ₹30 crore+.”

The company earlier this month secured an order for the supply of 200MW+ of solar inverters, set for execution by the end of March 2025. This order highlights the increasing demand for solar inverters and energy storage solutions in the industry. It also got an order for an EPC Turnkey contract for a 128MWp ground-mounted solar power project for to 300Cr+. The project will be commissioned in modular phases (40MWp + 40MWp + 48MWp), within a period of 18-24 months.

UPNEDA in the recent past has been looking at different renewable energy projects to meet its increasing energy requirements from renewable energy. The state earlier this year in 2025, issued EoI to build floating solar projects, and grid-connected KUSUM projects to add more distributed grid-connected solar PV systems in the state. Until last year, UPNEDA has also sought developers to build solar-based drinking water kiosk projects.

The state is also perceived to add solar cell manufacturing units, with companies like Greater Noida-based solar module manufacturer Alpex Solar which last year in 2024, announced plans to add 1.6 GW of capacity through a new solar cell plant. This move into solar cell production complements Alpex Solar’s existing operations in solar PV module and aluminum frame manufacturing.
