Goldi Solar Gets 190 MW Module Order From ENGIE India US To Invest $71 Million In Solar Manufacturing

Indian solar module manufacturer Goldi Solar, bagged a Modules Supply Agreement (MSA) with ENGIE India, a subsidiary of the France-based ENGIE Group—a global player in low-carbon energy and services. 

The agreement entails the supply of 190 MW of modules for ENGIE India’s upcoming Sayla village project under a 25-year solar power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUNVL). With this agreement, the home-grown firm has reiterated its commitment to promoting green energy in the country. 

As a part of the agreement, Goldi Solar will provide an efficient HELOC® PRO series of 545wp photovoltaic modules to Engie India. These high-quality modules are expected to contribute to an annual electricity generation of 34 crores, furthering India’s clean energy goals.

Goldi Solar manufactures high-end photovoltaic modules and provides EPC services. It was Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Surat, Gujarat. It is also exporting to several international brands in 20+ countries. It has two facilities consolidating a manufacturing capacity of 4 GW at Pipodara and Navsari in Gujarat. Goldi is listed under all major certifications for both domestic and international markets. Goldi solar has been producing Mono-PERC and other popular module technologies. It has also raised hopes for the production of TOPCon technology based solar modules to cater to the needs of the solar market in India. 

On the other hand, ENGIE is a global leader in the energy industry. It iis one of the largest foreign investors in India’s solar power sector. With a presence in Delhi and Pune, ENGIE India was incorporated in 2014 and continues to expand its footprint. The ENGIE Group boasts a global renewable energy portfolio of approximately 42 GW and is committed to increasing this to 80 GW by 2030.
