Goldi Solar Enhances Capacity Targets

Surat-based Goldi Solar, has announced an enhancement to its capacity expansion plans. The firm now aims to increase its module manufacturing capacity from the current 3 GW to 14 GW by mid FY26. Additionally, Goldi Solar plans to build its cell manufacturing capacity to 4 GW by FY27, a crucial move aimed at reducing reliance on imports and strengthening India’s solar infrastructure.

The firm hopes that the expansion will drive improvements across the company’s manufacturing processes, enhance production efficiency, and unlock new market opportunities in North, East and South India. To support this large-scale growth, the firm expects to increase its workforce by over 4,000 employees.

In recent years, Goldi Solar has demonstrated substantial growth. The company’s turnover rose from Rs 600 crore in FY22 to Rs 1,750 crore in FY24, marking a strong 191.67% growth over the last three years. Additionally, Goldi Solar’s robust order book currently stands at ~Rs 5,350 crore, including Rs 4,550 crore in module manufacturing and Rs 800 crore in EPC contracts.

Currently, Goldi Solar operates two advanced manufacturing plants in Pipodara and Navsari, Gujarat, with a combined capacity of 3 GW.  Expansion of the module capacity is proposed at its new facility in Kosamba, Gujarat.
