GB Solar Starts Work On Expanding Module Capacity to 2 GW By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Tue, Jun 18th, 2024 Vadodara, Gujarat based PV manufacturer GB SOLAR TECHNOLOGIES PVT LTD ( formerly GreenBrilliance Renewable Energy LLP), is expanding its PV module production capacity to 2.0 GW. The capacity, located in Karjan, Vadodara, will start production within 6-8 months this year. A ground-breaking ceremony was held on 7th June, 2024 at the site in the village of Karjan, in the Vadodara District of Gujarat. The company launched the construction work for the facility recently. The new facility will be fully automated and use cutting-edge technology for the production of advanced modules. The company will produce n-type TOPCon in addition to mono bifacial and mono PERC modules, in ratings ranging from 3 Wp to 750 Wp. It also has an EPC division that executes solar projects. In 2016, the company was taken over by Epoxyhouse Group of Industries to cater to the Indian Market as the demand for Solar PV Modules was increasing and added 125 MW of manufacturing capacity.
