Gautam Solar Introduces TOPCon Panels With 640Wp Output By Manish Kumar/ Updated On Mon, Apr 21st, 2025 Gautam Solar Introduces TOPCon Panels With 640Wp Output Indian solar module manufacturer Gautam Solar has launched its new Rectangular N-Type TOPCon Bifacial Solar Panel, positioning itself among the early adopters of the next-generation high-efficiency technology in the country. The company said the panel, certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), offers power outputs ranging from 620 Wp to 640 Wp and module efficiency of up to 23.69 percent. The product is designed to meet the evolving needs of solar developers and EPC players seeking scalable, cost-effective solutions. Ideal for large-scale projects “Developed with rectangular N-Type TOPCon bifacial solar cells, the panel increases energy yield through higher cell packing density and improved light absorption on both front and rear sides,” Gautam Solar said in a statement. “This smart design delivers a greater active area, minimized losses, and enhanced bifacial gain — ideal for large-scale ground-mounted projects, especially in high-albedo regions.” The advanced bifacial technology enables the panel to capture sunlight from both surfaces, improving overall energy production. The rectangular cell structure boosts energy density and maximizes space efficiency between adjacent panels, the company added. The panel is also built for durability, with features such as lower degradation rates, a strong temperature coefficient, and consistent performance in low-light conditions. Gautam Solar said the module is PID-resistant and weatherproof, withstanding high mechanical loads. Higher power output Higher power output per module also means fewer panels are needed per megawatt, reducing balance of system (BOS) costs — including structures, wiring, and installation. “This launch marks a significant step forward in solar module innovation,” said Gautam Mohanka, CEO of Gautam Solar. “It combines efficiency, durability and cost-effectiveness, and is well-suited to meet the future demands of India’s fast-growing solar sector.” Headquartered in New Delhi, Gautam Solar operates manufacturing facilities in Uttarakhand and Haryana. With over 27 years in the solar industry, the company is expanding its production capacity to 5 GWp by FY2025–26. It also holds multiple patents and prides itself on in-house R&D.
